About Me
I have been fascinated with the worlds hidden in books for as long as I can remember. I was introduced to suspense and horror at a young age. Yet, I also had a fondness for young adult fiction, specifically mysteries and fantasy. To this day, I can still be found picking up a book by Willo Davis Roberts or Tamora Pierce just as often as one by Stephen King or Dean Koontz.
This eclectic selection of reading preferences has led to a duality in my writing. There is no light without the dark and I use both when I write. Like the phases of the moon, sometimes my writing reflects the sun and sometimes it dwells in shadow, to one degree or another. Everyone's life is peppered with moments of sunlight and shadow. I try to keep my own in balance.
Knowing that balance without requires balance within, I decided to pursue my passion. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing for Entertainment from Full Sail University. During my studies, my work in television writing earned a course director's award and Everyday Fiction published one of my flash fiction pieces, Chalk.
I am currently working on a shadowy film script, Seeing and Believing, a tale of psychology and murder. While Clans of the Great Mother dwells in the sunlit fantasy world of swamp trolls and woodland sprites. Even more characters and story ideas are floating around inside my head, waiting to be born onto the page.
